Programme box in the Geneva daily newspaper (Switzerland) on the Montreux Jazz Festival 1981. For Sunday, 12 July, it lists the “Guitar Summit” with Philippe Cauvin, Raphaël Faÿs, Biréli Lagrène, Harry Pepl, Lee Ritenour, Harri Stojka, James “Blood” Ulmer and Kilimanjaro; the evening had already appeared in the paper’s events calendar the day before. That evening Pepl played as the Jazzzwio in a duo with Werner Pirchner, the Austrian composer and vibraphonist; the preview names only Pepl.
