Review of the year by the Austria Presse Agentur: in 1988 Austrian jazz had finally become international. First place goes to Pepl’s German Record Critics’ Award for “Cracked Mirrors”, followed by Wolfgang Puschnig’s “Pieces Of The Dream”, Karl “Bumi” Fian and the Muthspiel brothers.
