Programmheft der VIII. Debrecener Jazztage (Debreceni Dzsessznapok) 1979: Programmheft der VIII. Debrecener Jazztage new

Programme booklet of the 8th Debrecen Jazz Days (Hungary), published by the organiser, Hungarian Radio, together with the Kölcsey Ferenc cultural centre, for the concerts from Wednesday 5 to Sunday 9 September 1979. For Friday, 7 September, at midnight in the Bartók Hall, it presents the guitar duo Harry Pepl and Voja Brkovity (Voja Brković) and calls Pepl the most renowned Austrian guitarist of modern jazz. The short biography in the booklet mentions Erich Kleinschuster’s sextet, the ORF Big Band (the big band of ORF, Austria’s public broadcaster) and workshop line-ups with Stan Getz, Lee Konitz, Art Farmer and John Surman; it probably goes back to the same information supplied by Pepl himself as the 1979 programme booklet of Saalfelden, Austria. The bassist Csaba Fazekas published the scan in 2024 on the Hungarian jazz portal JazzMa.
