Wrote the big-band arrangement of Dino Saluzzi’s „The way“ for the concert of the NDR studio band on Friday, 10 October 1986, at the Fabrik in Hamburg-Altona, where Harry Pepl played with the Saluzzi Quintet.
Walter Jakob “Joki” Freund, German jazz musician (1926 to 2012), born in Frankfurt-Höchst, died in Schwalbach am Taunus. He began on tenor saxophone but became known above all as a composer and arranger, including for the jazz ensemble of Hessischer Rundfunk (Hesse broadcasting).
