Met Pepl during a visit to New York at the end of the 1970s, played sessions there with him and Peter Ponger and later, in Vienna, in a quartet with Werner Pirchner and Joris Dudli (Kohler, pp. 37, 87). Later bassist on Wolfgang Muthspiel's album “Air, Love & Vitamins” (2004), named after Pepl's composition; Pepl did not play on it.
