At the 24th Deutsches Jazzfestival Frankfurt (Germany’s oldest jazz festival, organised by the public broadcaster Hessischer Rundfunk), a line-up assembled for the occasion under the name Frankfurt-Wien-Connection played the second concert of the evening in the Bockenheimer Depot on Saturday, 31 October 1992: Harry Pepl (guitar), Stefan Lottermann (trombone), Michael Riessler (bass clarinet), Claus Stötter (trumpet), Bob Harrison (bass) and the Paris drummer François Laizeau. The compositions are by Pepl.1

Hessischer Rundfunk produced the concert itself (“live with applause”) and, according to its archive, broadcast it on hr2 on 31 October 1992.1 A copy of the recording has been in the family archive since October 2026; under the hr’s conditions it may only be used internally, which is why only the details of date, line-up and broadcast are given here.

The lead to this concert came from the festival overview at concertarchives.org, which names the line-up without its members; the hr database extract of October 2026 confirmed members, date and broadcast.2
