The standard British guide to jazz on record has an entry of its own for “Harry Pepl” (p. 1028, after Gary Peacock) and gives three stars to “Volver” (ECM 1343, with Enrico Rava, Dino Saluzzi, Furio Di Castri and Bruce Ditmas, recorded in October 1986) under both Rava (p. 1077) and Saluzzi (p. 1135). In the third edition of 1996, the entry on Michel Portal also lists “Turbulence” (HMC 905186) with “Harry Pepl (g)” in the line-up; “Men's Land” does not appear in the editions from 1994 to 2006. Pages given in the index of the later editions: 1996 pp. 726, 1038, 1067, 1077, 1082 and 1138; 1998 pp. 838, 1255, 1262 and 1327; 2000 p. 1302; 2002 p. 1292; 2006 p. 1040. The first edition of 1992 also names Pepl.
