In its section on the guitarist Karl Ratzer, this German book on Sinti jazz counts Pepl among Austria’s most important guitar voices: “Alongside Harry Pepl and Wolfgang Muthspiel, a generation younger, Ratzer is probably the most important Austrian guitar voice” (translated from the German).
