Based on the author’s own conversation with Harry Pepl on Tuesday, 16 October 2001, which she quotes several times (footnotes 4, 10, 14, 16 and 17 in the Pirchner chapter from p. 143). Describes the meeting of Pepl and Pirchner, the Austrian composer and vibraphonist, in 1975, the founding of the JazzZwio and their ten years of collaboration. Whether the thesis also has a chapter of its own on Pepl as a composer has not been checked; the title suggests it.
