The most comprehensive jazz discography lists Pepl in volume 17 with an entry of his own as leader (Cracked Mirrors, Oslo, February 1987, ECM 1356) and under the Jazzwio (Gegenwind, according to Lord Ludwigsburg, 1 and 2 December 1979, Mood 23999 and 24400; according to the archive recorded at the Bisamberg and mastered in Ludwigsburg), plus sessions with Benny Goodman (trio and quartet with Peter Witte), Charlie Mariano (Lindau), Karlheinz Miklin (Graz, SOS Music J006), Enrico Rava (Volver), Pirchner/Pepl/DeJohnette, Michel Portal, Leszek Zadlo and in large ensembles with Uli Scherer, Carla Bley and Abdul Wadud.
