Festival report by a visitor to the Bratislavské jazzové dni 1982 (Bratislava Jazz Days, jazz festival in Bratislava, Slovakia) on the specially assembled International Conclave: with Emil Viklický, who according to the report was in fact the soul of the whole ensemble, the players included Klaus Koch (double bass, GDR), Harry Pepl (guitar, Austria), Veselin Nikolov (alto saxophone, Bulgaria), Wolfgang Lackerschmid (vibraphone, printed as “Lackerschmitt” and wrongly assigned to Austria) and the Polish violinist Krzesimir Dębski (printed as “Kazimierz Debski”), whom the report singles out as the ensemble’s absolute number one.
