During a quiet passage at the premiere a thunderstorm set in, whose rushing rain Pepl described as an incredible atmosphere. The newspaper Kurier judged the fragile, hesitantly beginning work too good to serve as a „Sandwich-Einlage“ [“sandwich filler”] between Beethoven and Brahms.
