Three episodes in the ORF archive
The ORF archive documents three episodes with Pepl. In episode 28 (Saturday, 12 August 1978) Austria Drei plays “Hosnt-Raga”. Episode 31 (Saturday, 10 February 1979) exists in full (44:35 minutes), a feature with Miriam Klein, Fritz Pauer, Jimmy Woode and Pepl. Episode 35 (Saturday, 20 October 1979) is the last of the series, again with Austria Drei and “Hosnt-Raga”.
Daniel Pepl, who has seen episode 31, remembers an entire feature with “super sound” and “super solos by Harry” (translated from the German). Pepl appeared in the series several times (information from Daniel Pepl, 30 October 2026), also with Werner Pirchner, the Austrian composer and vibraphonist, and with the Jazzzwio. Two episodes can be heard on site at the Austrian Mediathek.
